The City - CEO is fully responsible for the P&L, developing and managing the team and Business Development activities for the assigned region. The position has a strong analytical and strategic component. Experience & enthusiasm for coaching and active management is necessary, in addition to being wholly performance driven. Immediate grasp of both our model and company culture is paramount.

The City - CEO will report directly to the CEO of Groupon Italy, Spain and Portugal, plays a key role as a member of the Senior Management team and participates actively in the organizational development of the company. The job is ideal for people who want to pursue an entrepreneurial activity within a network of other skilled and professional entrepreneurs and who are maybe interested to found their own company at a later stage.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Responsible for region’s sales efficiency and performance
•Develop and execute management strategies aimed at exceeding financial targets
•Autonomously run your portfolio and make all executive decisions directly effecting its success
•Meet and over-achieve on weekly and monthly revenue targets
•Effectively manage, train and communicate KPI’s to regional team
•Uniquely identify emerging trends within each region whilst applying this knowledge to leverage sales
•Acquire in-depth knowledge about key industry performance indicators
•Actively interact with Groupon International leaders, sharing and leveraging knowledge and expertise
•	Act as the day-to-day contact for sales managers - fielding questions, issues and merchant escalation/issue resolution
•	Deliver monthly performance metrics and goal review
•Represent Groupon in the field by entertaining clients and attending consumer and networking events
•Communicate regularly with Sales Managers regarding the state of the business in their assigned markets, pipeline health and city-specific initiatives

 Qualifications:
•Masters degree or MBA essential
•Entrepreneurial approach to business and a strong understanding of start-ups essential
•Work experience is preferably from business consulting, start-ups, VC-firms, or investment banking
•Strong business acumen
•Proven experience in achieving and over exceeding onset targets
•Excellent communication skills; written, spoken (over the phone and in person)
•Impeccable interpersonal and social skills, positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation are all essential
•Demonstrated levels of dedication and ownership required to succeed at start-up speed
•Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functional areas
•Ability to travel
•Fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese
